What are your interests and what are you doing?
– I’m studying international development at University College Maastricht (NL), but I’m currently on my exchange-semester in Washington DC. My main fields of interest are community development and sustainability. I draw most of my motivation and inspiration from my social service in India where I worked in different NGOs and projects. Nowadays, I try to use this background to better understand development challenges and chances.

Why are you organizing the VIA conference?
– Organizing “Visionaries in Action” is another step towards this goal and I hope it will give participants the inspiration and encouragement to get active and take up responsibility for our future.

What are your interests and what are you doing?
- Ich studiere internationale Entwicklung an der Universität Maastricht in den Niederlanden, mache aber gerade mein Auslandssemester in Washington, DC. Ich interessiere mich hauptsächlich für multilaterale Entwicklungsprojekte und Nachhaltigkeit und setze mich dafür ein, dass Entwicklungshilfe in Zukunft nicht zu mehr Abhängigkeit führt, sondern langfristig Chancengleichheit für den globalen Süden schafft. Vor meinem Studium habe ich ein Jahr in Indien gearbeitet wo ich in einer lokalen Entwicklungshilfe-Organisation Erfahrungen gesammelt habe, die mich bis heute motivieren und inspirieren, die Prozesse in der Entwicklungszusammenarbeit genauer zu untersuchen und für eine gerechtere Welt zu kämpfen.

Why are you organizing the VIA conference?
- Im VIA-Team mitzuarbeiten ist für mich ein weitere Schritt, aktiv unsere Zukunft zu gestalten und andere junge Menschen zu inspirieren und zu ermutigen, sich einzubringen und Verantwortung für unsere Zukunft zu übernehmen.
